Each tomb has a viewing window, where family can see their loved one preserved in stasis.

Created in Mandelbulb 3D.

Awww, this is beautiful. :)
I'm in love with the motifs on the surface of the fractal. It just shows the "random beauty" one can discover, when playing around with fractals. :aww:
The lighting is perfect. I like how the "ceiling" looks as if sunshine was coming in from the outside. ^^

Thank you! Adding second light source really pulled the whole scene together for me. :)

The overall scenery and atmosphere are great but what impressed me most about this fractal are the stain-like forms on the surface! At some point they even resemble flowers - there's a daisy near the bottom edge. :D The "thorns" on the supporting columns are a nice contrast and at the same could be complementary to the theme of the tomb's "tattoos". So I guess it's a display of the personality or likings of the person preserved within. :) Great work!

Wow!! This is probably one of the best comments I've ever received. Thank you! :w00t: I don't know if you noticed, but I added a second light source in Mandelbulb, coming down from the opening in the ceiling, to accentuate the idea that the tomb is meant for viewing--not a closed off thing buried in the ground. This fictional race cherishes their dead. :)

Yup - I noticed. :D It does enforce the idea!

And you're very welcome - it's quite an inspirational image. :)
